Apprenticeship Program - Earn While You Learn!

UA Local 693 apprenticeship program is designed to provide you with a path to a successful career. In addition to plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC instruction, all apprentices receive training in welding.

When you join UA Local 693 as an apprentice, you’ll receive the required apprenticeship classroom training for FREE and gain hands-on experience and skills working with one of our signatory contractors while getting paid with benefits!

No tuition debt at the end of your training! Instead, you will graduate with skills and trade certifications and college credits toward an associate degree through Washtenaw Community College, making you a highly employable, professional tradesperson, and you will be set up in job placement with contractors earning competitive wages as a journeyman/woman with continued generous benefits.
